Adipose tissue as a key player in obstructive sleep apnoea

Effects of IH on adipose tissue in experimental models are presented. Despite fast emerging evidence of a key role of adipose tissue inflammation, detailed role of these responses in OSA needs further definition. Future translational studies on this are needed.
